Peter Hoogeboom: „Clay Feet tells about my roots: the Netherlands. Literally the Low Countries: flat self-made lands reclaimed from the sea, from lakes and estuaries. The Westland and West-Friesland areas are two of our major areas where fruits, vegetables and flowers are grown. We literally stand with our feet in the clay.
In this necklace I use white earthenware and terracotta, literally -baked earth-. These are necklaces 
appropriate for a hard working no-nonsense people of growers. Made from the same rich fertile soil we stand 
in, we grow our food on and we have become dependent on.“
