My interpretation of the theme „jump“ is a very personal one: I decided to deal with „past“, „present“ and „future“ in my own work. I have strongly the feeling that the borders between those three aspects of time are very difficult to establish: Every present work bears themes and conclusions from the past works and will surely in one way of another echo in the future works…… which at the moment of making become present, which become past ….quite complicated….

My „past“ piece is constructed of particles made of Latex rubber, forming a heartshaped necklace. It represents my „past“ because of the organlike shape of the work, and the use of Latex rubber. In my earlier works, Latex rubber formed a very important material, representing the instability of matter, desintegration, and some sort of non-aesthetic aesthetics. These were some of the themes that occupied me in the early stadium of my work very much and they still do. The organlike forms keep also in the present being a part of my work, and will be probably also in the future to some extant. In my „future“ work I have integrated hard elements made of bone china porcelane. Herewith I want to express my intention and need to combine „hardness“ and different kind of structures in my work.

This work of the „future“ ist still anchored in the present, but shows new directions as to the use of material and with that, new atmospheres and themes can follow.
